ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Jan. 25 (PIA6) – School officials called on Capiceños
to help in the national early school registration campaign.
Roxas City Department of Education Schools Division Superintendent Miguel Mac
Aposin urged the parents to enroll their children who are incoming
kindergarten, Grade I or Grade VII students by the opening of school year
2013-2014 in June.
He added that parents should also encourage their children, particularly the
out-of-school, to be back to school and finish their education.
Aposin said that the DepEd move for an early registration, which will start on
Saturday, January 26, is to determine the number of incoming students and the
needed additional school facilities such as classrooms, chairs, text books and
school building, among others.
“We also appeal for the support and help of the barangay officials in this
campaign, knowing they have the direct information in the respective
communities about the children who must be in school,” he stressed.
On the other hand, Capiz Schools Division Superintendent Eveleth Gamboa
disclosed that she had already made a directive to all the district supervisors
and school principals in the elementary and secondary schools in the entire
province to be prepared for the start of the early registration.
Gamboa said that all schools will be open on Saturday and the registration will
continue to ensure that all children who are supposed to be in-school are enrolled.
