CSC sets career service examinations

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Feb. 8 (PIA6) -- Applicants for the Career Service Examinations- Paper and Pencil Test are reminded anew to file their application forms on or before February 28.

Capiz Civil Service Director Maria Lina Gonzaga called on interested applicants to the first schedule of career examination this April 14, 2013 to file their application forms the soonest possible time.

She stressed that application forms are available at their CSC office or could be accessed through www.csc.gov.ph.

Gonzaga said that the career service professional and sub-professional examinations aims to establish a register of eligibles from which certification and appointment to the second and first level position in the civil service shall be made, provided said eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions.

She also pointed out that out-of-school youth and undergraduate students could take the career service examination.

“The passing grade for both the professional and sub-professional levels of examination is at least 80 percent,” she said.

“The April 14 career examination will be conducted in Roxas City,” Gonzaga said, adding that the examination fee is P500.00 for both the professional and sub-professional levels of examination.

According to her, those who are 18 years old already at the time of filing of application could take either the professional or sub-professional exam.

To qualify for the examination, the applicant must be a Filipino citizen with good moral character, must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness or addiction to drugs, or must not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian positions in government, and must not have taken the same level of examination in less than three month.

Gonzaga revealed that the second schedule of the CSC career service examination is on October 13 and the deadline of filing of application forms will be on August 30,2013. (PIA/JBGuillermo)
