40 Capiz cops get promotions

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Jan. 24 (PIA6) – A total of 40 policemen in Capiz got promoted to a higher rank, Information Officer Donna Asmod of the Police Provincial Office said.

The newly promoted police officers had their pinning of rank insignia ceremony, January 22, at Camp Apil here.

Asmod said that the pinning of rank insignia was led by Capiz Police Provincial Director Domingo Cabillan with PNP Special Action Force Officer-In-Charge Angelo Camuyot, Capiz businessman Pablo Chu assisted by the families of the promotes.


For his part, Cabillan lauded the policemen for their dedication to the police service as he thanked the families of the promoted policemen for their support and understanding of the nature of the police work.

Cabillan stressed that the promotion of police officers is a reward for their hard work as he urged them to be proud of it and to continue to do the good work.


In an order dated January 17 this year, Asmod said Police Inspector Ness Vargas was promoted to Police Senior Inspector effective December 31,2012, she said.

From Senior Police Officer 2, Honorato Barrido, Numeriano Brillo, Edmundo Febrada and Mark Anthony Garcia were promoted to SPO3, while SPO1 Glendalyn Tabia, Arthur Vasquez and Cleofe Diaz were promoted to SPO2, Asmod said.

She added that Police Officers 3 Jose Dexter Paulin and Tomas Obligar Jr. have also been promoted to SPO1, while PO2 Raul Almojen, Jonilo Amangca, Ramil Arcangeles, Garry Arcenas, Adonis Barbasa, Roger Barrera, Oyie Bernaldes, Jonathan Boleño, Pablo Lerona, Antolin Sumatra, Bonifacio Vergara and Elvis Villasis were promoted to PO3.

Promoted to PO2 are Rita Alcayde, Shaney Allanic, lord Amosig, J-R Apresurado, Nenia Arcenas, Robelyn Astros, Neldy Lyn Baquilar, Herrafe Barrera, Clarck Beriana, Emil Caldeo, Stephen David, Michael Dela Rama, Noel Delatina, Rolyn Boy Fernandez, Jeanette Hijosa, Fredicindo Talabucon, Jr., Lou Jacinto Robles and Jerson Vigo.

Asmod likewise revealed that five members of the PNP Special Action Force who are assigned here in Capiz holding PO2 and two others holding PO1 positions were also promoted to one rank higher.(Jemin B. Guillermo/PIA6)
