ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Nov. 14 (PIA6) – Capiceños are urged to take advantage and avail of the discount caravan of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Capiz DTI Director Ermelinda Pollentes said there are already 18 business firms that have confirmed its participation to the said event, 10 of which are micro, small and medium enterprise and eight are distributors and manufacturers.
Pollentes said that the Diskwento Caravan will be on November 15 and 16 at the Roxas City Plaza.
She explained that the caravan aims to improve the consumers’ access to basic and prime commodities as well as "noche buena" products at low prices.
“Through the diskwento caravan, we would be able to get the involvement of the private sector as part of their corporate social responsibility in delivering affordable basic and prime commodities as well as school supplies to employees and their families,” Pollentes said.
She added that there are manufacturers that even offer a 50-percent discount on the price of their products aside from the premium in pack offer.
Pollentes said that consumer products available for sale include, among others, eggs, chicken and other food products, flavoring and spices, pasta, bath and laundry soap, toilet bowl cleaner, dishwashing detergents, noodles, sausages, beverages and homecare products.
She said that through the diskwento sale, Capiceños would be able to have big savings that could be used for other needs especially that Christmas is fast approaching. (JCM/Jemin B. Guillermo/PIA6-Capiz)
