3 Capiceños receive CSC awards

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Sept. 4 (PIA6) - Capiceños are proud of the three recipients of the 2012 Civil Service awards.

Capiz Civil Service Director lawyer Maria Lina Gonzaga disclosed that Capiceños are truly proud of the national honor and recognition received by the three achievers from Capiz who have displayed exemplary performance in the performance of their duties as public servants.

Gonzaga confirmed that Capiz State University President Dr. Editha L. Magallanes is a recipient of this year’s Search for OutstandingPublic Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan Award.

Aside from Magallanes, the Provincial Health Office of Capiz and PHO Pharmacist Claire Caberoy are likewise winners of the CSC’s Pag-asa Award for group and individual category, respectively.

She pointed out that in the entire Region VI, four are conferred winners of the CSC Awards of whom one from the Commission on Audit in Iloilo and three from Capiz.

We can really say that public servants in Capiz are really professional in the exercise of the jobs and are committed to provide high standard and exemplary performance in the effective and efficient delivery of their services to the people,” Gonzaga stressed.

She revealed that the CSC awarding ceremony for the Regional Level will be on September 13 in Iloilo City while the national recognition will be in Malacañang Palace tentatively on September 19.

Gonzaga explained that the Honor Awards program is an annual undertaking of the Civil Service Commission that recognizes government officials and employees who have displayed outstanding work performance.

“The conferment of honor awards aims to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service,” she said, adding that the awarding ceremony is done in time for the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service this month of September.

On the other hand, Magallanes said that the award is really an inspiration to her and the entire CAPSU community to work right and best for the good of the community especially for their students.

Magallanes was nominated to the Dangal ng Bayan Awards for her exemplary conduct and ethical behavior, particularly in demonstrating her commitment to public interest, professionalism, justness and sincerity, political neutrality, responsiveness to the public, nationalism and patriotism, commitment to democracy and simple living.
