2 Capiz schools top WV Brigada Eskwela tilt

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Sept. 10 (PIA6) – Two public schools in Capiz bagged this year’s Western Visayas Search for Brigada Eskwela Best Implementers.

Capiz Schools Division Superintendent Eveleth Gamboa said that Panitan National High School and Antonio Belo Elementary School in Timpas, Panitan, Capiz were declared champion for the big schools- secondary level and small schools-elementary level category, respectively.

The two said schools are also Hall of Fame awardees for the said competition in Western Visayas for winning the first place for three consecutive years already, she said

She added that the Capiz National High School ranked also third in the same competition this year for the Exceptional Secondary Schools category.

Gamboa revealed that Cabug-Cabug National High School in President Roxas, Dao Central Elementary School in Dao, Capiz and Ivisan Central Elementary School in Ivisan town were also adjudged as fourth place winners for the small secondary schools, big elementary schools and exceptional elementary schools category, respectively.

According to her, the first and second place winners in the regional competition will be validated by the Adopt-A-School Program /Basic Education Central Office Personnel in October in preparation for the declaration for national champions.

On the other hand, Panitan National High School Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Edwin Daliva said that their winning in the said search for three consecutive years now has is an inspiration for the faculty, students, parents and their entire community to work further and sustain the program that will redound to the benefit of their populace.

Daliva said that the holding of the Brigada Eskwela in preparation for the opening of classes has become an instrument in strengthening their networks and partnership with the other government agencies, private individuals, businessmen and other organizations.

Brigada Eskwela mobilizes parents, teachers, students, civic and business groups, local government units, non-government units and other community residents in repairing and sprucing up schools two weeks before the opening of classes last June.
