‘Sec. Mar’ graces WVRAA

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Feb. 21 (PIA6) – Secretary Mar Roxas (Sec Mar) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) watched and cheered in a football game in the ongoing Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) Meet last Feb. 20 at the Villareal Stadium here.

The game was between Capiz and Antique booters at the elementary level.

Roxas has also introduced a football coach from Metro Manila who formed part of his party upon arrival at the stadium to Capiz football team coach.

The five-day sporting event kicked off Feb. 18 with a colorful traditional parade of the delegations from Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental and Capiz from the public plaza here to the stadium.

About 4,000 athletes, coaches and WVRAA officials gathered for the 17 sporting events in both elementary and secondary level.
