ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Jan. 16 (PIA6) – A series of fire safety lectures and drills on banks here will be conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Roxas City this January in view of the firemen’s on-going fire safety consciousness campaign.
The campaign will be initially conducted at Allied Bank, Queen City Development Bank, Metrobank and CardBank.
There are about 21 banks, including thrift banks, in the city.
“We will also discuss on how to use fire extinguishers among bank employees,” said BFP – Roxas City Public Information Officer FO2 Marlon Garbo.
He added that the lecture will include topics on understanding the nature and behaviour of fire and identifying and reducing hazards, among others.
Aside from banks, various establishments with 50 or more occupants will also be scheduled for the lecture and drill this year.
In 2012, the campaign targeted schools, government offices, boarding houses and apartments, malls, hospitals, public markets and terminals. (JCM/Alex A. Lumaque/PIA 6 Capiz)
