ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Dec. 5 (PIA6) – Public servants are invited anew to the 2013 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees of the Civil Service Commission.
Capiz CSC Director lawyer Maria Lina Gonzaga urged anew Capiceños to be part of the competition that will showcase to the country their outstanding and exemplary performance in delivering public services.
Gonzaga said that heads of offices and public servants are enjoined to participate actively by submitting nominations to the prestigious search.
“The conferment of the awards form part of the CSC’s advocacy of promoting a culture of excellence and recognizing and rewarding women and men for outstanding work performance, contribution and superior accomplishments, and for consistent manifestation of exemplary ethical behavior in public service,” she stressed.
Gonzaga revealed that the search covers three categories, namely the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, Outstanding Public Official and Employee or the Dangal ng Bayan Award, and the CSC Pagasa Award.
Apart from the individual nominations for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan and the Pagasa awards, group or team nominations are likewise encourages, she said.
She said that the deadline for submission of nominations is set on March 29,2013 while the nomination forms and guidelines could be accessed through www.csc.gov.ph.
Capiz State University President Editha L. Magallanes is a recipient of this year’s Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan Award.
Aside from Magallanes, the Provincial Health Office of Capiz and PHO Pharmacist Claire Caberoy are likewise winners of the CSC’s Pagasa Award for group and individual category, respectively.
In 2011, the Rural Health Unit of Dumalag, Capiz was likewise conferred the Pagasa award of the Commission. (PIA/Jemin B. Guillermo)
